MDGs in Magystau oblast

On 14 October 2009 a round table “Millennium Development Goals in Kazakhstan” took place in Aktau city. At the round table, jointly organized with the Akimat of Mangystau oblast, took part the deputy akim, Mr. Karaev Zhazymbai Amanturlievich, the UN Resident Coordinator, Mr. Haoliang Xu, the Chairman of the UN Association, Mr. Zheken Kaliuly. The prepared reports on progress on millennium development goals achievement in Kazakhstan and in Mangystau oblast in particular, were presented by the representatives of the UN agencies, the Agency on Statistics and the Scientific Centre of obstetrics, gynaecology and perinatology of the Ministry on health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
